Jack grew up in the Georgian city of Bath and has been a dedicated practicing artist from an early age. He graduated from Falmouth University in 2012. In addition to creating and developing his own highly distinctive visual language, Jack is a tutor at the Newlyn School of Art.
His work seeks to channel the primal energy of nature, embracing the landscape and wild coastline of South West Cornwall through textures, layers, gestures and marks. These abstracted responses to the encompassing forces around him evoke dynamic power and unfettered drama in fresh and surprising ways.
Jack has exhibited internationally, including the USA and Australia. Closer to home, he was included in ‘Critics Choice’ at the Tremenheare Sculpture Gardens, Penzance and PROTECHT in association with the Whitechapel Gallery. In 2017, Jack became a member of Newlyn Society of Artists.
